We attended the Google+ Holiday Party at The San Francisco Design Center last Saturday night. The party was great, and we went home with a lovely gift - the cute Xmas flipbook, which I am about to share with you in this entry ;P
But first let me tell you a little about the party as I really like how G+ plan this party.
It was such a hectic day for us. After running all those weekend errands as usual, we rushed to Google headquarters, where some of the last shuttles were waiting to take employees to the party venue in San Francisco. The shuttles were nice and spacious. We sat face to face, elbows on table, and had a chat about the party theme, G+, how busy life was here, when to leave the party :D, 10 or 12 blah blah blah...
The theme of the party was very interesting, "It's a Small World". The building had four floors, each with different food, drinks, activities and decorations. First floor was named Global Village, with global food and the central performance stage, where there were lots of exciting performances; Second Floor: Americas; Third Floor: Europe and Beyond; Fourth Floor: Asia.

The party was fancy and fabulous. Each and every floor was graced with flowers of different colors and varieties : roses, purple iris, hydrangeas...& also paper flowers. Though not abundant, these still looked so charming and dream-like. Soft lighting, delicate flowers, fancy decorations, the ambience suddenly reminded me of our wedding... :))
There were exciting activities on each floor such as the slow motion booth on the first floor, a Flipbook booth on the second floor etc. We were just hanging around and then came across these two booths. Both of them were bustling with a long queue, so, we just joined the line for flipbooks.
FUN FLIPBOOKS
The flipbook came as a nice surprise to me ^^ My husband and I have seen a video of an interactive flipbook online, but we did not expect that at this party, we would have the chance to get one!!
We did not plan for it, but it was lucky that the colors of our outfits fitted the Xmas theme quite well :P. We were allowed to pick up some gadgets to do something before the camera. 6 or 7 seconds. Then waited 2 minutes. & voilà! we had these 2 cute flipbooks on the spot. ^^
It was cool thumbing through the little flipbook, feeling like I am watching the live "cartoon" in my hand :P
As Xmas approaches, I have created a Xmas video from our flipbooks.
